debbie’s family shoot

while out catching up with debbie and celebrating her birthday, i took a quick family shoot for her in her backyard in culver city, where we ran merrily around chasing her son the entire time. it was silly and sweet, and i leave you with these cuddly pictures.

her little boy had this “kung fu panda” attack pose that he just loved:

what an adorable family! ♥

solvang and los olivos

mat and i decided to take a trip out to solvang and los olivos for our three year dating anniversary (mat keeps track of all of our anniversaries… it gets quite complicated!) and to get out of the city for a bit. i brought my camera along and took some 35mm pics.

hot chocolate, the crepe version of “eggs benedict” and a giant waffle with fruit from the belgian cafe? why yes please!

we then ran off to los olivos for the sole purpose of getting me a cupcake flight from enjoy cupcakes! mat didn’t want to get a wine flight without me d’awww (i’m allergic to alcohol) so we just enjoyed these tasties while people watching for a little bit. :)

after the cupcakes, we decided to head back to solvang for dinner (it was kind of ridiculous that the trip was based around meals… oh wait, this is me we’re talking about) and on the way i made him stop at this pretty cliff so we could enjoy the view.

childhood home…photobombed

while we were in connecticut for christmas, mat requested that i take a few shots of his childhood home (his parents are looking to sell). i ran outside and grabbed a few shots on my yashica and rebel g. some of the shots cracked me up, because his golden retriever “dodge” decided he wanted to play. or rather, block my shots.

i started cracking up while trying to take this shot of the house, because he kept dashing in at the last second and just standing there smack in the middle. i eventually gave up. round 1 goes to dodge:

cute swing on a tree in the backyard:

the house from behind:

dodge’s house in the far corner of the backyard, behind the shed… he clearly never used it. poor house.

and once again, planting himself in the middle. he thinks he’s hilarious.

hopefully we see you again soon, home! but in case we don’t… we have plenty of puppy-photobombed pictures of you! :)

p.s. on a side note, these are all un-edited scans from rpl. whadda ya think?
